Desmodur I® isophorone diisocyanate - Health and Safety Information

As with all of our products, every user of Desmodur I must be familiar with potential hazards and have the knowledge needed to safely handle and use this product. Based on our knowledge and experience with Desmodur I and other diisocyanates, this bulletin provides information on toxicological effects, recommendations for medical procedures, safe handling practices, monitoring and analysis techniques, and proper storage and disposal methods. The Material Safety Data Sheet for Desmodur I contains further details and must also be consulted.

Desmodur I® isophorone diisocyanate - Bulk Handling, Semi-Bulk Usage and Storage

The purpose of this publication is twofold. The first is to provide enough information so that the handling of bulk quantities of Desmodur I aliphatic diisocyanate can be done in a safe manner, which also prevents contamination of Desmodur I. The second purpose is to describe suitable equipment for the transport and storage of Desmodur I.

Desmodur N® hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) based polyisocyanates - Health and Safety Information

Persons who handle or work with HDI-based polyisocyanates must be familiar with the potential risks involved and must be trained in the safe use and handling of these materials. Bayer’s Product Safety Department can provide assistance in understanding the hazards and in developing proper handling procedures.
